1. The Core Principle
Fue.li was built on a single premise: Your thoughts belong to you. We do not want your data. We do not want to train AI on your drafts. We do not want to sell your writing habits to advertisers. We are building an engine, not a surveillance network.
2. No Telemetry
Most software includes "telemetry"—code that silently tracks which buttons you click, how long you stay open, and where you are located. Fue.li contains zero telemetry.
- We do not track your IP address.
- We do not track your session duration.
- We do not track your keystrokes.
- We do not track your location.
3. Local-First Architecture
The Fue.li application runs entirely on your local machine (your "metal").
- Storage: When you type in Fue.li, your text is stored in your browser's
localStorage(a dedicated memory slot on your hard drive). - Saving: When you click "Save .MD", the file is generated instantly by your browser and saved to your Downloads folder. The file never travels over the internet.
- Offline Capable: Because there is no server connection required, Fue.li works perfectly without Wi-Fi.
4. No Accounts, No Logins
We do not have a database of users because we do not require you to create an account. There is no "Login" button. You cannot forget your password because you never created one.
5. Hosting & Infrastructure (Web Mode)
When accessing Fue.li via the web (e.g., fueli.netlify.app), we use Netlify to deliver the code to your browser.
The "Delivery Truck" Distinction
Like a postman delivering a letter, Netlify knows the delivery address. Netlify logs standard server data: your IP address, browser type (User Agent), and time of access for security and DDoS protection.
The postman cannot read the letter inside the envelope. Netlify cannot see what you type in the editor, your saved drafts, or your local files. That processing happens exclusively in your browser's memory.
6. The "Offline Engine" (Maximum Privacy)
For users who require absolute data sovereignty, Fue.li offers a downloadable version (`app.html`).
When you download the engine and run it locally from your hard drive, you sever the connection to Netlify entirely. In this mode, no server logs are generated, no IP addresses are recorded by any third party, and the application runs in a complete "Air-Gapped" state (unless you voluntarily connect a local AI model).
